Mercy Syombua

Our small sister in Kenya is Mercy Syombua and she is 15 years old now. She attends Madaraka Primary School. Our continuous donation to AmericaShare subsudizes her tuition, room & board, uniforms, shoes, bedding and books, school supplies and toiletries and a trunk she keeps her possessions in.

Both her parents died, leaving her with her younger sister. She lives in Mukuru slums with her aunt, who does not work. Mercy prays a lot and likes to go to church. She also likes to read books and play volleyball. She wants to do well in school so she can become a doctor or nurse when she grows up.

All 2008/2008 "50/50" proceeds will be donated to AmericaShare to continue to support her.
